MASHANTUCKET, Conn.

Peter Manfredo won a unanimous decision over David Banks in a 10-round super middleweight fight Wednesday night at Foxwoods Casino.

All three judges scored the fight 97-93 for Manfredo, who came to prominence on the boxing reality TV show "The Contender." Manfredo, from Providence, R.I., had problems getting anything going against Banks.

Manfredo stunned his opponent a couple of times in the early rounds by faking to his left and coming over the top with a right hand. He even had Banks a little wobbly in the fourth round but the 24-year-old from Portland, Ore., managed to stay on his feet.

"He was just very fast," Manfredo said. "He was catching me with that right hand all night long."
